№ 5 · a field primer

A few terms, translated. The rooms hold the rest.

preferred vendor list
The list your venue hands you. Sometimes it's earned on merit; sometimes it's rented by the vendor. One question sorts it: "does anyone pay to be on this?"

Pricing that hasn't finished counting. "$100++" means service charge and tax still get added, so a $100 plate can land closer to $130 before anyone pours a drink.

Not automatically a tip. Where it goes varies by contract — if you want the people working your night to have it, ask first, then tip on purpose.

Executes a plan that already exists. They don't invent one that doesn't. The plan still has to be written — by someone.

RULE 01

Nobody buys a recommendation

If a vendor ever pays this house anything, it's a flat, disclosed program fee. Never a cut of your booking.

Wrong fit gets said out loud

If something here isn't for you, it says so before you spend a dollar.

Scarcity is never theater

If something's limited, it's because hands and hours are. No invented countdowns.

The door is free. The first drop will carry a plain price when it's ready. There's no membership meter running.

02Who keeps this house?+

A bride who got married in March 2026 and still has the spreadsheets — with the twelve vendors who ran that day as founding sources.

03Why make people knock?+

Because a referral means someone vouched, and vouching is the whole economy of this place. No vendor's name? The side door asks six questions about your day instead — not to grade you, but so the house can set out the right things. Everyone who answers gets in.

04Is anything for sale yet?+

Not yet. The first drop — the twelve pieces above — is in assembly. When it's ready, you'll see the price before you see a checkout.
